Before excavation, construction or landscaping begins, knowing what lies beneath the surface can prevent costly damage, service interruptions and potentially dangerous mistakes. Mainline Leak Detection provides professional locating services to identify and mark private underground utilities that may otherwise be difficult—or impossible—to see from above.

Using specialized electronic locating equipment, we can trace and mark:

• Private water and sewer lines
• Electrical conduits

• Geothermal loops
• Buried tanks and metallic objects
• Other detectable underground utilities and anomalies

Calling 811 is still required before you dig. Miss Utility marks participating public utility lines, but those markings generally do not include privately owned lines located beyond the utility company's responsibility.

Mainline Leak Detection complements the 811 process by locating private utilities on the property that 811 may not identify.

Having both public and private utilities properly marked gives property owners, contractors and excavators a clearer picture of what's underground—helping excavation proceed more safely and with fewer surprises.
